Peter is a Consultant in Turks’ General Insurance team, based in the Melbourne office.
Peter has more than 50 years’ experience advising on complex litigation, dispute resolution and risk. His expertise encompasses construction and engineering, marine and transit, commercial property, product and public liability, business interruption and supply-chain-related claims, as well as complex commercial disputes and recoveries.
He acts for insurers, corporations and other organisations in high-value and multi-party proceedings, including class actions, dual insurance disputes and subrogated recoveries. Peter has particular experience in claims involving marine and transit losses, infrastructure, engineering and commercial property damage, including matters with cross-jurisdictional and multi-layered liability issues.
His broader advisory practice includes contractual risk allocation, liability and insurance provisions, and due diligence associated with mergers, acquisitions and insolvency scenarios. Peter brings a strong risk-management perspective informed by decades of advising on governance, compliance and directors’ and officers’ obligations in operationally complex environments.
