Paul is a Partner and Practice Head of Turks’ General Insurance team, based in the Sydney office.
Paul has over 30 years’ experience in public liability, property damage and professional indemnity matters. His expertise includes advising insurers across property damage (commercial, domestic, strata, infrastructure and motor vehicle), personal injury liability, contract works, flood and water damage, commercial property liability, theft, arson and fraud claims, trade credit, Accident & Health and recovery actions.
He acts for Australia's largest general insurers, as well as boutique insurers, brokers, corporations and self-insured organisations. Paul principally acts in New South Wales and the ACT, while also representing clients in other jurisdictions across Australia, providing strategic claims and dispute resolution advice nationally.
Paul is relied upon to advise on technically complex claims, indemnity disputes and high-value litigation. He is highly experienced in providing strategic advice and managing multi-party matters involving competing liability and recovery issues. He is recognised for resolving disputes efficiently through negotiation, alternative dispute resolution and litigation. He has appeared in jurisdictions ranging from NCAT to the High Court, delivering pragmatic, commercially focused advice that balances technical excellence with cost-effective outcomes.
