Matt is a Partner in Turks’ Life Insurance & Superannuation team, based in the Sydney office.
Matt specialises in insurance litigation, claims disputes and strategic claims advice. He has extensive experience acting in complex litigated matters across State and Federal jurisdictions and advising insurers on a wide variety of disputed claims.
Matt regularly advises on claims management, liability issues and dispute resolution, acting throughout the claims lifecycle from claim assessment and dispute management through to trial and appeal. He works closely with insurers and financial institutions to develop practical and commercially focused solutions to complex matters.
Having undertaken both front-end and back-end secondments with major insurer clients, Matt has developed a strong understanding of insurer operations, claims processes and commercial decision-making. This experience enables him to provide advice that is both technically sound and aligned with clients' operational objectives.
