Leo is a Partner in Turks’ General Insurance team, based in the Sydney office.
Leo has more than 13 years’ experience across commercial and personal insurance lines. His expertise includes major property damage claims and recoveries, indemnity disputes, fraud investigations and complex litigation. He also has extensive experience conducting factual investigations, advising on contractual indemnity issues and developing recovery and resolution strategies in matters involving significant financial exposure and operational disruption. Leo has a particular focus on providing early advice during the claims process to assist insurers in making informed decisions on indemnity, liability and recovery issues.
He advises a broad range of Australian insurers, corporate clients and self-insured organisations across all Australian jurisdictions. Working closely with claims professionals, in-house legal teams and senior decision-makers, Leo coordinates expert evidence, manages complex investigations and develops practical resolution strategies for high-value and sensitive disputes.
With extensive experience representing insurer clients in courts, tribunals and alternative dispute resolution processes, Leo has a strong understanding of procedural requirements across different jurisdictions. He is known for developing dynamic solutions to complex and sensitive claims and is particularly valued for his ability to assess issues early, identify key risks and drive efficient claim outcomes.
