Harman is a Senior Associate in Turks' Employers Liability and Workplace Relations teams, based in the Sydney office.
Harman's practice focuses on statutory workers compensation matters and common law work injury damages claims. She has experience advising on matters involving complex liability and evidentiary issues and regularly assesses liability and evidentiary material within the NSW workers compensation scheme. Harman also has experience advising on disputes involving the intersection of workplace conduct issues and workers compensation claims.
Harman acts for large self-insurers and specialised insurers across a range of workers compensation and work injury damages matters in New South Wales. She works closely with employers, claims decision-makers and other stakeholders to support defensible and sustainable claims outcomes and provide practical advice on liability and evidentiary issues.
She regularly appears as an advocate for her clients in the Personal Injury Commission and the District Court, assisting in the resolution of contested matters and complex disputes. Her early exposure to employment law through a litigation practice with a mixed employment component also provides valuable insight into workplace conduct issues that arise in workers compensation claims.
