Geoff is a Partner in Turks’ General Insurance team, based in the Brisbane office.
Geoff has more than 40 years’ litigation experience, including over 30 years acting exclusively for insurers. His expertise encompasses subrogated recoveries and coverage advice across a broad range of liability and indemnity classes, including accident and health, life insurance, total and permanent disability, income protection, superannuation, professional indemnity liability claims. His practice also extends to property, contract works, building and construction, defendant personal injury, indemnity and marine matters and disputes involving local government, hotels, clubs and shopping centre owners.
He acts for insurers across a broad range of portfolios and advises on complex, multi-party disputes involving significant commercial exposure. Geoff’s practice spans Queensland and other Australian jurisdictions and includes domestic and cross-border recovery strategies and matters arising in the transport, logistics and infrastructure sectors.
Drawing on his broad litigation and insurance background, Geoff provides strategic guidance across coverage, liability, recovery and dispute resolution issues. He is particularly experienced in coordinating matters involving multiple parties, insurance interests and overlapping legal issues across different areas of risk.
