Eliza is a Partner in Turks’ Employers Liability team, based in the Sydney office.
Eliza specialises in work injury damages, with a particular focus on advising insurers on issues of employer negligence and liability. She works closely with clients to develop pragmatic, commercially focused strategies aimed at resolving claims at an early stage, often prior to the commencement of court proceedings.
Acting for a broad range of insurer clients across New South Wales, Eliza provides clear, strategic advice on liability, quantum and litigation risk. She is highly experienced in managing complex and multi-party claims, including pursuing recovery opportunities and navigating contribution issues between parties.
Eliza regularly represents insurers at mediations and has strong advocacy experience in the New South Wales District and Supreme Courts. Her practice also involves detailed legal research and analysis on complex negligence issues, ensuring her clients are equipped with timely and well-supported advice in evolving areas of law.
Known for her collaborative and responsive approach, Eliza works closely with claims teams to support efficient claim outcomes and effective dispute resolution. She is focused on delivering practical solutions that align with her clients’ commercial objectives while managing legal risk.
