Dane is a Partner in Turks' Employers Liability and Workplace Relations teams, based in the Newcastle office.
Dane is a senior specialist in workers compensation and employers liability matters, with particular expertise in psychological injury claims, workplace conduct issues and complex liability disputes. He advises insurers, self-insurers and employers on statutory and work injury damages claims under the New South Wales workers compensation scheme and regularly appears before the Personal Injury Commission.
Working closely with insurers, claims professionals and employers, Dane provides strategic guidance on liability assessment, workplace investigations, claims management and dispute resolution. His advocacy experience in industrial relations proceedings, together with previous experience advising on employment and industrial relations matters, gives him a practical understanding of how workplace conduct issues can influence claims outcomes and liability decisions.
Dane also has experience across related personal injury jurisdictions, including work injury damages, public liability, motor accident and intentional tort claims. This breadth of experience enables him to identify litigation risk early and provide clear, commercially focused advice that supports defensible outcomes and effective claims strategy.
