Alph specialises in life insurance, superannuation and financial services disputes. He has extensive experience advising on policy interpretation, claims management, regulatory compliance and financial advice disputes. His expertise spans all aspects of life insurance claims, including disclosure and misrepresentation issues, policy avoidance, total and permanent disability claims, income protection claims, AFCA disputes and complex coverage matters. He also advises on the operation of the Insurance Contracts Act, Corporations Act, ASIC Act, SIS legislation and the Life Insurance Act.

Alph acts for life insurers, superannuation trustees, financial advice licensees and major financial institutions across Australia. Having acted in hundreds of life insurance and superannuation disputes, as well as major regulatory review and remediation programs, Alph is a trusted adviser to major life insurers, superannuation trustees and financial services organisations across Australia. His experience provides a detailed understanding of the commercial, statutory and operational issues affecting the industry.

He regularly advises clients on complex disputes, policy and coverage issues, regulatory reviews and sensitive claims matters, including ASIC-directed claims reviews, Royal Commission-related matters and issues arising from significant industry reforms and regulatory scrutiny.

Alph is a recognised leader within the life insurance and superannuation industry and a regular presenter at major industry conferences, including ALUCA and Financial Services Council events, and Turks' bi-annual Life Matters seminar series.

He is also the founder and current judge of the ALUCA Turks Life Insurance Scholarship (ATLIS), which has supported emerging talent and thought leadership within the life insurance industry since 2007.

Alph was invited by the Council of Australian Life Insurers (CALI) to participate in its expert panel examining mental health claims in life insurance.
