Allan is a Partner in Turks' Commercial team, based in the Melbourne office.
Allan specialises in commercial litigation, insolvency and banking-related disputes, with more than 20 years’ experience advising banks, financial institutions, insolvency practitioners and trade creditors. He has extensive expertise across debt recovery, consumer credit, turnaround and insolvency, directors’ duties, commercial equity and trusts, and the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (PPSA).
Acting for major banks, financial institutions, insolvency practitioners and their insurers, Allan provides strategic advice on the enforcement of security interests, asset realisations and recovery actions. He has advised receivers and liquidators in a number of Australia’s most significant insolvency administrations and has successfully represented clients in the Supreme Court and Federal Court in matters that have shaped the rights of secured creditors.
He is recognised for delivering practical, commercial solutions to complex litigation, insolvency and recovery matters.

Allan is a regular contributor to industry publications and has a longstanding involvement in the insolvency and credit professions. He is a Fellow of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA) and a member of the Australian Institute of Credit Management (AICM) and the Law Institute of Victoria.
