Michael joined TurksLegal in 2010 as Special Counsel. Prior to this, Michael was a partner in a mid-tier firm and a solicitor-director of a large incorporated practice (where he had state-wide strategic and operational management responsibilities).
With over 20 years of experience specialising in all aspects of commercial litigation and insolvency, Michael plays a significant role in our Banking Group and is also highly involved in the direct supervision of litigation in our Commercial Disputes & Transactions Group.
Michael has extensive experience in pursuing recovery and enforcement proceedings across a variety of industries and for several institutional clients. Michael also represents a number of insolvency practitioners in recovery actions. He has developed expertise in relation to Managed Investment Schemes. He has conducted litigation in all civil courts in Victoria, the Federal Court and the High Court.
Michael is an accredited mediator and is one of our senior trainers in our in-house mediation course.
In addition to internal training courses, Michael is a frequent presenter of seminars and to clients on topics associated with commercial litigation and insolvency.
